The 100 Day Project
The challenge
The 100 day project is an initiative which thousands of artists take part in all over the world every year. The aim is to do something creative every day, to record yourself whilst doing it and post it to social media (you can view it on my Instagram). I chose to do a mini oil painting every day to produce a body of work for my open Studio event in June 2024.
When I started the project in February 2024, I had no idea of the challenge it would be to keep up a sustained repetitive practice for 100 days straight. It was enormous fun but much harder than I thought to do it every day. Life sometimes got in the way!
I'm really very proud of this collection but even more so of the achievement.
The exhibition
It was easy to get lost in the detail of the project as I was working through it but I when first started to get the paintings up on the wall, I was absolutely blown away by how it looked.
I shared the collection in its entirety at my Open Studio event in June 2024and received a great response to it.
The majority of the collection is now sold but I still have a few remaining at my studio which you can view if you come for a visit.
